sselinokcu
I'm trying to decide on one of my SL classes. It's either going to be History or Psychology. The problem is that my school only offers "Turkey in the 20th Century" as History class. I don't know if it will be useful while applying to colleges in the US, as I will only learn about Turkey. On the other hand, Psychology isn't very related to my career choices, as I want to study Law, Economics or Politics. Any recommendations? ellie
University won't care which region you studied! On your diploma, it'll say 'history' no matter what you study. It's also perfectly normal to study your region in depth, I actually think IB History's point is, rather than giving you lots of knowledge, to teach you skills -- analysis, research, using sources, etc. If it works better for you, take History, it's a good fit with your prospects. 2 Reply
