I was thinking of looking at how the directors in The Royal Tenenbaums, Amelie, and Little Miss Sunshine use film techniques to develop the protagonist and build their relationships with other characters in the film. However I'm not sure if I should write about that because it isn't very original and seems vague. I don't know, I just need someones opinion on it and maybe some suggestions of what I should do.
