par
Hi guys, I am in the process of finishing my psychology HL IA. Our teacher is new to the IB and she has no idea about inferential stats so she is not even checking it for us as she doesn't know how to do it and it is up to us. I have managed to do the Wilcoxon test using an application online however I don't know how I am supposed to explain it and relate it to my data and hypothesis. My experiment was on the stroop effect and I used a repeated measure design which is why I chose to do a Wilcoxon test. Can someone please help me with this. Thank you all in advance. anthropo
The whole idea behind inferential statistics is to see whether you accept your experimental or null hypothesis. My teacher recommended that we work out our inferential statistics manually and put it in an appendix just so we understand all the steps involved. To explain it, you compare the lowest calculated value to the critical value, and if the calculated value is less than the critical value then the experimental hypothesis can be accepted. You can use this to form a conclusion for your investigation 1 Reply
