SNF
the question was ---- log a (a^2)-4 log (1/a). And it said simplify. for my final answer I got log a (a^2/1/4)^4.It is correct? please correct me if I'm wrong.Do you think there is more simplification to this? IB Examiner
I am getting 2 + 4log10 (a) Assuming 4 log (1/a) means 4log10 (1/a) and is not a typoWe get this:2log a (a) -4log10 (1/a) 2 - 4log10 (1/a) ;This is because we applied the log rule: log a (a) = 1 2 - 4 (-log10 (a)) ;This is because we applied the log rule: log a (1/x) = - log a (1/x) After refining we get: 2 + 4log10 (a) Reply
