luneymes
Is it absolutely necessary to have a supervisor for all Cas activities? What if you have proof of your activity that you can show your cas coordinator? For example, lets say you developed a program/app for creativity, it would be easy to show proof of this activity, so would that be enough to have it approved? Guest
I believe it is necessary. There's a specific part of the CAS guide that mentions them: Supervision Activity supervisors’ responsibilities include: • monitoring attendance• providing guidance and support related to the activity• alerting the CAS coordinator, administration or relevant CAS adviser to any problems• reporting, as required, on student performance. If you really wanted, I guess you could get a teacher to supervise you whilst you make it? Or they check up regularly on you? The best thing to do would be to ask your CAS co-ordinator for advice - they'll know best. Reply
