Question about supervisors

Is it absolutely necessary to have a supervisor for all Cas activities? What if you have proof of your activity that you can show your cas coordinator? For example, lets say you developed a program/app for creativity, it would be easy to show proof of this activity, so would that be enough to have it approved?

I believe it is necessary. There's a specific part of the CAS guide that mentions them:

Supervision Activity supervisors’ responsibilities include:

• monitoring attendance

• providing guidance and support related to the activity

• alerting the CAS coordinator, administration or relevant CAS adviser to any problems

• reporting, as required, on student performance.

If you really wanted, I guess you could get a teacher to supervise you whilst you make it? Or they check up regularly on you? The best thing to do would be to ask your CAS co-ordinator for advice - they'll know best.
