xsandralee
for the majority, stem cell research is receiving positive support from the population, why? mostly becuase they believe stem cells will be able to fix/rehabilitate many lost cells in a body. for ethical issues pertaining to cloning, the major issue would be: GOD. GOD created life, but now, all of a sudden, man creates life? try these sites: http://www.buzzle.com/articles/ethical-iss...of-cloning.html http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/tec...oning/clissues/ Reply

roro
Hello there This topic is very contraversial which makes it exciting but risky. You should look at it from all directions. Ask yourself questions such as "When do we consider a person is alive, is it when it is formed when the egg cell meets the sperm cell? Is it when the baby is delivered? Is it when the baby is 5 months old? etc." You should then show how these questions lead to different types of people agreeing and disagreeing on stem cell research. SharkSpider
The problem with this issue is that the only argument against stem cell research itself is a religious one, which doesn't really lend itself to a logical debate. Abortion might be a better subject because there are many non-religious people who are against it. Reply
roro
i disagree with SharkSpider the argument against stem cell research can also be very moral. Religion was derived from moral instincts remember that. But i think its a fantastic subject. Good for you. Reply
