Guest
Is there any significant examples of using cubic polynomial in real life? Someone told me " in oil and gas industry, a single simulation of the process or of the reservoir involves zillions of these and you cannot get a wrong root." but i really dont know how it works. thanks Reply
UncleChopChop
If this is your IA, don't limit yourself specifically to cubics. You would end up with far better mathematical content from considering general polynomials. If you're interested in usefulness of polynomials, perhaps have a look at Taylor and Maclaurin series in the Calculus option? Reply
