jcbrnko
Today is the day where I have to choose my courses. I am really interested in taking ESS, but I heard that some colleges might not accept the course as a credit. Is it better to take Biology? Pink97
US or Canada? For the US you generally only get credit for higher level subjects, so if that is the case with the universities you are interested in then take whichever course you prefer more as you won't get credit from either of them. jcbrnko
I'm focusing in universities in the US. Do universities look for certain IB classes to be taken? Or do they accept all IB courses? Reply
Pink97
I'm focusing in universities in the US. Do universities look for certain IB classes to be taken? Or do they accept all IB courses? It honestly depends on your intended major. For some majors you are expected to have taken subjects related to your intended major but for some you're not. Do you know what you want to major in? It depends again. You need to check the websites of the universities you're interested in to see what IB subjects (at HL usually) they accept for credit. Google ''uni name + IB credit'' and you should get a list of courses that are accepted for credit. You will most likely get credit for the 3 higher level subjects that are listed in your signature as they're very common courses (only if you get a 6 or 7 - sometime a 5) For economics specifically, you can credit out of both introductory macroeconomics and microeconomics.
