NiCKEL
I'm a full IB student taking all the standard stuff and math SL. I want to do either precalc 12 or calc 12 in the summer to ease the work the following year (in Gr11 right now) but I don't know how the course will affect my grades? Will they take (CAN universities only) the higher of Math SL vs Precal 12 or will they only see Math SL since I'm full IB? It's very confusing for me; I was already confused when McGill said they'll look at me as a normal high school student first then consider IB grades... And also, which one will be better for preparing for SL? Reply
ShootingStar16
I THINK they look at whichever mark's the highest. Our teacher told us that universities here look at the higher marks, so you have a choice when applying. However, you'll probably get a few credits if you choose to use your math SL mark.
