IbTrojan Posted February 4, 2015 Report Share Posted February 4, 2015 If I were you, I would probably use the given command terms so maybe change it to, "To what extent was the failure to impose oil sanctions the biggest single reason for the failure of the League of Nations to deal with the abyssinian crisis?" If I were to read this question, personally I think I'd be able to write a lot more... To me, the word "was" limits your question but by changing the term to "to what extent," you can now argue anything about the reason on an entire spectrum and mention how it failed but also mention the successes (if there were any) so as to show that you took multiple perspectives yet clearly sided with one.
