DannyRodeck
So I'm applying to study at Berklee college of music, I didn't choose IB music because my school doesn't offer it. Does anybody know which benefits does IB bring to this college? Has anybody studied at Berklee? I wanna study Music Production and Engineering. Thanks! frusciante
Hey, Danny! I don't go to Berklee or anything (mainly because i'm not old enough yet.) But...I do know alot of people that have graduated and are going through music schools and reasearched how to get into Berklee myself. Point is...I may not have enough knowledge, but based on what friends who have gone though music cources, I can tell you this. 1. IB will not help you "stand out" in the process. Berklee (and all music schools) are very hollistic and rely more on talent that you have demonstated. I don't know about studio mixing and such, but with instruments, it's mostly based on your audition and courses you have taken speciffically for music. Your other IB couses won't really matter. But, I think that IB will be able to help you become more successful in uni because of the work ethic and skills you develop there. As for standing out, not so much. I know I'm not an expert, but I hope this helps! Reply
