Kim Jong-Luftballong
As the title reads, I'm wondering whether English B SL is enough to study medicine in the UK/US, but also whether a higher level of english is preferred/required at the top universities. Blackcurrant
It shouldn't be a problem (at least officially), but it may be an advantage to take English A L&L (SL) if you can manage that. 1 Reply
Djsporting
It should be enough. Although certain Unis might require you to take the TOEFL Tests if you have less than 4 year experience in English (I believe) 1 Reply

Djsporting
I'm taking English Lang & Lit SL. A girl who was with me in that class moved to English B HL, whilst she had a 4 in L&L she had easy 7's in English B, with little studying. Go for English B HL. It will be much less of a stress, and you'll have a lot more time to devote to your other HL's Edited January 11, 2015 by Djsporting 1 Reply
ibprincess
i believe literature and lang&lit are for people fluent in english focusing on literature while language b focuses on language acquisition like speaking/reading/writing and i think language b, because it is language acquisition, you might have to do toefl tests Reply
