Its like he's happy about the feeling of liberation he gets from flying, but he is traumatised by his actions on the battlefield, so he is depressed. Its like his mood is kinda pensive but sad yet happy (if that makes sense). Thats what I figured from a brief reading. There probably is a deeper meaning that I couldn't decipher, but I think its his mental state of being happy yet sad.Does it make sense? What do you think?
