Googling Bower 1967 experiment brings up this link on the first page. All of his papers seem to be there with pdf links so you can provide the original citation.

 

As far as I'm aware they are not too strict about having the original citation (some cite a web url) but using APA style is essential. Also finding the original citation is not too difficult so there's really no reason not to provide it.

 

His 1967 published works don't seem to be published articles in journals but rather books and book chapters so two things are possible: he mentions the study you are referring to in one of those chapters or (more likely) it is a different paper (perhaps this one) that somebody (your teacher or a book author) has mis-cited as another (this is quite common in the Crane and Hannibal book).
