kwangcho Posted May 7, 2014 Report Share Posted May 7, 2014 Hey guys, I have a problem on the HL English paper 2 essay questions.Lets say that you chose a question on paper 2 and answered it to your best of ability. However you did not answer it properly as the question as you to but you only answer partially what the question asked you to do. How does that affect the overall grade? Emmi Posted May 7, 2014 Report Share Posted May 7, 2014 You'll likely lose a significant amount of points in Criteria B (how well you understand the question and responded to it), and probably some points in Criterion A (knowledge of the texts in relation to the question) and Criterion C (identifying literary features in relation to the question) but I wouldn't say you'll score extremely poor. Assuming the rest of the essay was fine organization-wise and has consistent, correct grammar, you're probably looking at perhaps a 3 or 4 at most on this paper. However, if your paper 1 was fine and you did reasonably well on the other parts of the course, you should be okay to pass overall. 1 Reply Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
