Complex number forms

Hi again everyone!

While doing an exam question this morning I got a bit confused regarding the different ways of expressing complex numbers, and I've found different answers when I tried to look it up, so I was hoping someone could help me out!

When writing complex numbers in modulus-argument form, is that rcis(theta) or in the exponential form? I've seen a couple of different answers so I'm not actually sure which form I should be using...

Thanks!

Modulus argument form is

gif.latex?r cis\theta

You have your modulus r, and your argument gif.latex?\theta

Exponential form is

gif.latex?re^{i\pi}

You have your exponents
