Subject Selections.. Review?

^I agree with Clockwork - my friends in Bio HL all say that it's purely memorization; at least Chem has some reasoning required. Taking History or Bio HL depends on whether you want to take English in HL or SL in my opinion; if you want to do something humanities related in your career (Eg. politics, law) then you should take english and history at HL. Don't take english HL if you don't need it - you'll end up studying more texts and have longer exams that you don't need. It's not a hard subject but I don't see why you should be wasting your time if you don't need it.

History has a lot of essay writing - it was the one that our whole class needed a pep talk for, and our teacher gave us chocolates before the exam; most of the other subject teachers didn't bother coming to see us - and requires a lot of memorization so consider those things when you are deciding. Historical knowledge helps though in English so there's that, and the memorization skills you acquire from the subject helps economics or b/m.
