Dope_Desires
Is there any help on how to make my presentation time any longer ? What tips I can use on how to pass a couple of minutes ? Reply
by.andrew
IOPs were capped at 12minutes for our class (and the teacher asks 3 minutes of questions). If you think about it, a 12 minute presentation is quite short considering you have so much to talk about. I would allot about 1~2 minutes for a short introduction; I like using a hook or try to develop my presentation into the topic that I'm about to talk about. Then, use about 10 minutes to explore the sides of the argument. If you chose a good topic, talking for 10 minutes should be quite easy. I would not suggest you to use time up by doing an activity unless you can specifically control the time of the activity and limit it to <4 minutes. ElvenRanger
If you're doing a short poem, you could narrate it, adding in inflection etc. based on *your* interpretation of the poem. Also, do you tend to talk fast? If so, ask your friends and family to listen to your practice IOPs and give you hand gestures to slow down at appropriate times (thesis, conclusion, etc.).And I agree with andrew above-15 minutes (the upper limit) really isn't much. I myself talked for just over 13. Reply
