Chris To
The IB Guide for the ITGS IA states "It should be noted that products created using templates that show no evidence of modification in their structure, design or functionality are not permitted." and "the development of a website (product) using a web-based template that completely determines its structure and layout." Are students allowed to use tutorials such as http://tympanus.net/...th-transitions/ in their ITGS webpage? Does this mean I cannot use any of the exemplars in the website above? iblife2013
Basically, what the IB is saying is that you can use templates, just make sure to alter them. Also if you do take a template, CSS or anything from somewhere else, be sure to acknowledge it when you do the documentation showing your product development and prove that you have altered it. Hope that helped 1 Reply
Chris To
Thank you so much! I have edited the CSS and some of the javascript! Reply
iblife2013
No problem! Make sure to allow enough time to complete the project. So many people underestimate the amount of time required to finish the whole thing, and then go back and edit everything. My school was silly and didn't get us to start until a few weeks into our final year... which resulted in lots and lots of frantic stressing :/ but it sounds like you're getting a good start.
