allyco.
I think your achievements are really impresing! And UCLA is an amazing choice! I'll keep my fingers crossed! Reply
Forester
If you break 2000 in the SAT then UCLA could be realistic. Being Asian doesn't help in college admissions. Reply
by.andrew
I can only speak for the UCs listed:Firstly, ethnicity will have no impact on your admissions when your applying to UCLA (or the other UCs). Doesn't help (obviously) but doesn't harm.Secondly, your test scores are quite average. Not very competitive, so I suggest you take another crack at the SATs or the ACTs. December's the absolute deadline, so good luck on the coming exams!Thirdly, UCs have heavy emphasis on grades. I'm not too familiar with your grading system, so no comment. Note that Average wGPA for admission at Berkeley was 4.5~, at LA was 4.3~ and SD was 4.2~ (Don't quote me on this, but the wGPA were very high). Fourthly, your ECs aren't too bad. It will definitely get a foot in the door. Hopefully you're applying to other places? You don't seem to have a "safety" college, where you can guarantee admissions+scholarships (which will be hard to get for internationals anyway).
