malfotores
Hey guys, our school's topic for the G4 project is "Playground Science"Our group wanted to do something related to physics, but we're not sure on how to do the investigation.Do you guys have any ideas that might relate to this topic? by.andrew
Our school got the theme of "Science behind the campgrounds" lol.If the focus is only on physics, the list is endless:Conservation of energy - pretty much everything on a playgroundHeat transfer of sand/gravel (the sand in the playground can get quite hot on a summer day!) - this can also tie into biologySprings - I believe there are things fixed on the ground to a spring and kids can ride on it or somethingResonance - SwingsRotational Motion - Tether-ballPath of sound/waves - underground telephone thingy Reply
Rigel
Chemistry: - Reactions and properties of the sand found there. - Test for toxic substances in the playgrounds. - Test for the purity of water in the playgrounds. Physics: - Conservation of energy in a slide. - Projectile motion. - Measuring the momentum of falling sand/gravel on a weight scale. Biology:- Make a survey on the species that inhabit a playground (I can't help much on this part). Reply
