Ibsurviving
Hello! Was wondering if anyone could help me in my very unfortunate situation..So I'm writing my extended essay AND internal assessment in business and management and as you all know you need to relate your research question to a company.. The company that I chose, which was my father's, recently went bankrupt but I do have all the primaryinformation required to write about it..The question is about sources of finance:which source of finance would be the best for company x for expanding?Do I keep writing about it? Do I mention it to my moderator? Thanks in advance. Reply
Aditya Sachdeva
Umm i think this question is some-what in appropriate. It has a scope of evaluation of all sources of finance and in real world the list can be exhaustive and not many business tools and theories could really be used. I'd recommend change the framing and you SHOULD show it to your mentor. Reply
Ibsurviving
Thanks for the answer.. Yes It feels like i am just listing sources of finance and explaining their advantages and disadvantages. For the models I'm using SWOT analysis and key ratios. But I've been working on it for over a year and the company went bankrupt.. what should I do? Do I start a new one new because obviously, the conclusions I draw from the essay won't help them expand? Aditya Sachdeva
SWOT and all are too basic. And when the company is in state where it went bankrupt, why would it even pursue growth? It's key objective should be survival at that time. You need to consider this. Reply
