English B Higher for Universities in the US

Will it effect my application for universities in the us that i am taking English B higher, considering that i have the American Passport but i am Jordanian and studied and lived in Jordan for my whole life. I will continue IB in jordan.

How will carrying the American Passport, taking English B Higher, and wanting to apply for universities in the US effect my acceptance?

Not really, US universities will require you to take the SAT reasoning, ACt or TOEFL as proof of your English language skills.

I would recommend taking a language A HL if you are thinking of studying that language at uni as it would give you extra credits, otherwise the US look at the overall application and the results of their standerdised tests when making a decision.

So it doesnt matter if im applying for engineering the US ... but i need to get high marks in the sat, act or toefl

All the passport does is spare you the trouble of getting a visa, and you will be charged out of state fees the first year and then in state fees the 2nd year. So you're tuition will be cheaper.

It won't affect your admission process.
