Opinions on whether Geography EE RQ is suitable for Geography

Hi,

My RQ for my EE, is

To what extent is Cambodia’s history still affecting the population structure, education and prospects of today’s youth in Cambodia?

I'm just curious to know if other people think that this is related to Geography enough before i start to write out my EE properly and if they think that it is achievable within the word limit.

Too broad, I would pick a certain event in Cambodian history instead of the whole of the history.

Thanks for the replies, i was thinking of focusing on the Khmer Rouge era and its impacts as they are still very much evident in Cambodia today.

Do you see a specific trend of behaviour that may have arisen from it? That could essentially be your thesis. Did the Khmer Rouge influence I don't know modern migration patterns or something?

Thanks. I'm looking at how the Khmer rouge effected todays education system and then trying to relate that to the effect that it had on the population structure.Effectively i'm trying to see if there is a link between the level of education in former Khmer rouge strongholds and compare that with areas that were scarcely effected. However looking into how the syllabus for the Cambodian edcuation systems has been influenced would be interesting, I'm just not convinced if that is geographical enough.

Hey I know its been over 10 years since this last post was made, but I'm currently an IB student and will be doing a topic on the Khmer Rouge. Do you remember how writing it went for you? And any tips you recommend for this topic of an EE? Thanks! It would be a surprising if you still are able to reply to this.
