isabella112
Hi everyone,I'm currently in the process of finding a research question for my history extended essay. I've decided (tentatively) to write my essay on Operation Valkyrie, and the July 20th assassination attempt of Hitler.Does anyone know what aspect of this event I should be looking at that would be narrow enough and researchable?I was thinking of looking at the causes for this, is that still too broad of a topic?Thank you everyone for any help Reply
susanne
you could look at how the assassin's personal belief affected his decision, ~~, and yes to examine the causes alone is too broad, there are too much contributes to itisn't that a failed attempt in which the assassin placed a bomb near hitler, but it failed because the explosion was not powerful enough?you could also link some event before to the operation. or even examine how Hitler changed (politically or so) after the Operation Reply
isabella112
thank you! I was actually thinking of looking at how the Battle of Stalingrad affected the plotters' decision to (attempt to) assassinate Hitler Reply
