I Have a set of articles, however can not decide whether they are good to use, or I should keep looking.

http://www.businessweek.com/ap/2013-04-22/food-price-hikes-raise-concerns-in-iran (raise in food prices)

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/25/us/colorado-considers-marijuana-tax.html (Raising tax on marijuana)

http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/fda9ea9a-ac29-11e2-a063-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2RSrA8Iab (nuclear subsidy)

I only have access to the top three as I need to sign up to be able to read the 4th one.

I think they would all suffice for an IA but the second one has a lot things going on with both inflation, exchange rates and price ceilings. What are you going to right on? micro, macro and so on, because then you would have to pick out what you would like to focus on. The econ IA is very short, so you will have no trouble with filling the commentary out to the last word.

No. Article is too long. And, it is way too opinionated. Just look at the opening paragraph:

If marijuana is legalized and properly regulated, its proponents have long said, it could generate millions of dollars in state tax revenue. But how the drug should be taxed has proved to be a thorny question.

Choose another article that is less opinionated and shorter (between 200 and 400 words long).
