Hellobox
Topic question: What idea does F. Scott Fitzgerald suggest about the pursuit of ideals? My thesis:Through the ideals of Gatsby, Myrtle and Daisy, F. Scott Fitzgerald suggests that pursuing ideals of recapturing the past, achieving wealth through others, and wanting to be loved by having an affair are futile aspirations. Is it good? Bad? Confusing? Confusing?I think what you wrote is clear and specific ^^ however I feel that sentence is quite "greedy" since it seems to "swallow" everything ^^ is that your commentary or written assignment? flinquinnster
I agree with the above poster, you seem to want to discuss everything. Whilst that may be fine in some contexts, in others you want specificity - what section is this for? I'd suggest choose 1/3 of your ideas, because they are all good and can be elaborated upon. But definitely don't aim to do all 3. I would recommend then adding this specification into your question. Reply
mistborndragon
Your thesis says how Fitzgerald suggests pursueing ideals, but is unclear on what he suggests by them. Reply

That's ok though. My teacher explained that we should focus on one specific topic instead of multiple ones because the people focused on only one got really good marks. And, I was using the comma, comma, and formula in writing =P Reply
