Armani Thurman
So, I'm starting the IBP in August and a few of my friends wanted to do some CAS activities together. But, I've read that doing CAS in a group isn't the best idea. Do you think there's a way I can work it out so everyone is happy in the end or should the hours be done completely independent? TheBullLtd
It's a freakn brilliant idea!.. I've done one of my CAS activities in a group. Make sure that you guys each have your own goals and learning outcomes etc. And be sure to make your own reflections otherwise the CAS coordinator will start bragging. ChocolateDrop
Also you have to make sure you have a front-line, major kind of role in the task, as opposed to being an extra. If you're not sure about how your role rates, consider if the role would be major enough if it wasn't a group task. For example, if you're throwing a voluntary party for the disadvantaged, make sure you do more than just attend something which reflects that not only did the task benefit you in some way, - in terms of gaming skills/ the experience - you had an positive effect on the environment/ people and that your role and task where necessary.
