Emmi
You know how recently the IB changed to assess CAS hours to projects, so how many projects do we have to have in order to pass? There is no set number or minimum number of projects you need to complete. Your individual school might have a requirement (like for example three projects for each area), but the IB doesn't have a minimum number. Just make sure that however many you decide to do, you have enough to complete all the reflections areas and show enough variety, while still meeting the 150 hour requirement. ChocolateDrop
You;d have to ask your CAS coordinator, but mine says CAS is meant to have changed to be more quality than quantity. So how good your write ups and projects are. Just make sure you tick the criteria and relay how your experience enhanced the lives of others and maybe even yourself. In my school you have to do 2 big projects, one on-going project for 1 and a half years and lots of mini projects. You could ask your coordinator what she'd feel woould be 'enough'. And before you take up projects it is advisable that you present it to your CAS coordinator first, and your coordinator can give you feedback on whether it will count as CAS etc, and you won't have to do extra things that won't even qualify as CAS.
