Economics article

I use scribd.com when I need help seeing overall structure of commentaries. Here's a few sample commentaries from scribd:

http://www.scribd.co...HL-Commentary-2

http://www.scribd.co...ple-Portfolio-A

http://www.scribd.co...e-fixing-scheme

I don't think I have seen uglier coverpages before :hmmm:

:peace:

Don't judge a helpful site by it's cover! It's more useful than it looks. There's all kinds of helpful IB sample documents for so many subjects.

I never judged the site, and I apologise if you find that I have offended you. Even though you aren't marked for how the cover page looks like, it still might affect the examiner's overview of your work in general, which is sad, but it does happen. The first article seemed to have a pretty decent cover page, however the other two were awful and even wrong. Our teacher is very strict about what should be and not be in the cover page. (She is also both an EE and Economics IB-examiner.) I can send you how my cover page looks like if you wish so.

So far I have gotten full marks on my IA's in Economics, and my teacher gets upgraded by the moderator almost every year. :)

Also don't forget that the article you do has to be pretty recent. Something like no more than three months older than when you start your IA.

As you probably know there is hardly any difference between Economics HL and SL, with the exception of HL having theory of the firm and a few other extra topics. So essentially an HL IA would just be a really good SL IA. And according to my teacher, if you are an SL student and happen to find an article with HL topics you'd probably have to teach yourself the HL material. And still have correct economic theory for maximum marks.

The requirements for HL and SL are the same.
