Zoe Brooks
Hi,I was wondering if the IB SL Mandarin Language B exam allows you to write in both traditional and simplified characters? As in writing some words in traditional and some words in simplified on the same question/paragraph/essay or whatever. Thanks! Reply
Brenda Wijaya
What I knew is that they do allow you to write in both traditional or simplified characters.Because I saw that the past paper has a reading comprehension in both characters as well. But I don't think mixing traditional and simplified characters in a paragraph will be appropriate. IB Failing
Both papers are divided into 2 sections, with the first section containing all questions in simplified, and the latter section containing everything in traditional. I'm thinking that you'd have to stick to the one, so that you can't answer Q1-3 in simplified and Q4 in traditional for Paper I, etc. But you get the choice, so just use the one you feel most comfortable with! Guest HayashiEsme
Nope:( I believe that as long as you're consistent between answers, then you should be fine:) Reply
