Arrowhead
I think if you turn 18 before the start of Term you should be alright. Then again, a friend of mine was 17 for all of Michaelmas Term in Year 1 of our degree and turned 18 in January, she faced no trouble. I dunno about Medicine, they have stricter rules I guess. I would email the university and ask for a clarification.Arrowhead. Reply
ChocolateDrop
It depends on the institution, some medical schools have minimum age requirements due to the fact that their students are required to have medical contact with patients outside the course. http://bma.org.uk/developing-your-career/becoming-a-doctor/entry-to-medical-school/alternative-pathways-into-medical-schoolCheck the minimum age requirement of the medical schools you'e anticipating applying to.Sidenote:- according to the daily mail (a reputable news site/ paper), the youngest doctor in the Uk is 22, she got accepted into medical school at 16 years old. 1 Reply
