thornluke
Hi forum! When answering short answer questions (SAQ) with the command term of Explain, what tips do you have?I recently answered, "Explain how principles that define the Cognitive Level of Analysis can be demonstrated in research" with the the format of something like this:i. Explicit state the 3 principles (The principles that define the Cognitive Level of Analysis...)ii. Research 1 ...conducted an experiment on eyewitness testimony and demonstrated two principles ... (principle #1 and #2) .. describe research [sIGNPOST] therefore demonstrating the principles ...iii. Research 2 ...demonstrated the principle ... (principle #3) ... describe research .. [sIGNPOST] therefore demonstrating the principle ...I achieved a 6/8 for an essay with the comments of being a bit too descriptive and not explanatory. What can I do better to seize full marks? blindpet
Did you explain the research method and how it embodies the principle? As a sidenote I always thought an SAQ for a question like this would be one principle instead of principles but I could be wrong.
