Shahad
What i find most efficient is by writing out each syllabus point in a notebook. And then summarizing important points from my textbooks in a way i understand it.What textbook do you use for psych? And also case studies is extremely important in psychology.you need at least three for each syllabus point. And know the command terms. If a certain question comes up on the exam about evaluating something.Even if you write an amazing essay describing something, you will still get marked down.So make sure you know the command terms well. Shahad
Hopefully it works.Haha, glad to talk to someone with same subjects as me. =DI chose abnormal psychology as my option too.I actually liked that option as there were not as much case studies than in the core topics.Like in the symptoms of disorders, you just source it from the diagnostic manual or something. As for the textbook, in my IB 1, my class used the course companion, but this year we use the pearson baccalaureate for psych. But i found that each book lacked something sometimes, so i used both mainly to write my notes.Usually the book provides quite a lot of case studies, so I suggest choosing case studies which you can remember. And what I did was make a list of all the case studies i used in abnormal psychology with a few word summary to remind me what they did.Instead of flipping through all my notes trying to find it.That really helped remembering all the case studies. Shahad
yeah sometimes that book is actually much better. But in abnormal psychology, the pearson book was not so good towards the end.I liked the etiology and treatment for depression a lot better in the course companion.and yeah i understand what you mean, I always tend to neglect psychology unless i have a test or exam haha.I usually do math once a day but leave psychology to once a month lol.and no problem. =Dmessage me if you require any help.
