spereira14
So I was at school recently, and I was informed that Computer Science has now been categorized as a Group 4 subject. I went along to the IBO website and they're confirming this. Maybe Comp. Science should be added to the experimental sciences page? Reply
The Economist
There are not a lot of students doing Computer Science though so it is placed in the "Other Subjects" section. Having said that, there is not really a reason to move it. Thanks for the information though. Reply

It will be starting from 2014 guess .. there is many changes in the computer science syllabubs .. only Hl students will take the Case study .. + new changes for the CS dossier limiting the number of pages .. + The student must capture his program using a video .. aldld
They're seriously making it a group 4? Is there a specific reason why they're doing this? I mean, computer science is hardly even an experimental science and is much closer to mathematics Reply

But they said that the reason was so the DP people didn't have to take computers as their group 6 in addition to math in group 5. I don't know it really does seem kind of strange though...
