zuzag
I'm writing my IA and have trouble with choosing right inferential statistics test. Math Studies doesn't help in this case Could you tell me what should I do? My study was of availability heuristics. Two groups of people were recalling 6 situations in which they lied or told truth (independent variable) and then they had to rank their rate of lying on the scale from 1 to 10 (dependent variable). I will be grateful for any help. Edited January 31, 2012 by zuzag Reply
blindpet
The rate of lying 1-10 is a subjective opinion right? 1=least likely to lie and 10=most likely to lie? Since your design was independent measures you will use the Mann Whitney U test. There's a link in one of the other threads to a website where you can input your data and it will give you the U statistics. Reply
