dandoon96
Osmosis experiment I WAS given concentration ready for me due to time factor! But there all in mole like 0.2M and 0.4M 1M etc... I don't know how they did it???? Do I have to include the method of preparing this conc of sugar if so HOWAlso should I include conc of sugar in veggie . Eg beet root I couldn't find accurate data on net anyone have any idea Reply
Emmi
Remember molarity is just moles of solute per liter of solution. So to make a 0.2M solution of sugar you just take 0.2 moles (this can be found by converting to grams using a mole ratio) of the sugar you're using and dissolving it in one liter of solution, which I assume in this case to be water. Just repeat for the other concentrations. Like 0.4 moles for a 0.4M solution, 1 mole for a 1M solution, and so on.M = moles solute/liters solutionI would definitely include this calculation in your lab report.I'm not so sure about the sugar in beet root though.
