IB Andy
During the last few weeks, our bio class has been doing our bio design lab, so I chose my topic based on the digestion of lipids. However, during the experiment, I realized that there are no result even when I increase the lipase concentration to 10%. I am doing this lab with a pH probe and I add a drop of detergent before every trial. Does anyone know why the result shows that there is no digestion? P.S. we have calibrate the pH probe many times already, and it works fine. Reply
kiwi.at.heart
When things go wrong with labs involving enzymes, in my experience it nearly always had something to do with the enzyme. If it its possible, see if you can obtain a new batch of enzymes and see if that changes anything. For one of my labs involving enzymes i spent hours trying to figure out why it wasnt working, my teacher suggested trying some freshers enzymes and suddenly my lab worked perfectly.
