simplyme2
I did a lab in my physics class, and I'm a little stuck. I used a 12 V power supply to test the specific heat an unknown metal, and recorded the change in temperature, time, and simultaneously had a joulemeter hooked up, converting the difference in energy to joules. so, i have joules, time, and change in temperature. how would i graph this data so that the slope/gradient is the specific heat?? dessskris
ohhh I did a similar experiment some time ago hence, you plot change in temperature against time, and the gradient is Power over mass times specific heat capacity. if you need help just post here, I might help a little since I did a similar lab. EDIT: latex fail...decided to go for an image attachment Edited November 20, 2011 by Desy Glau Reply
