Guest kenshi64
Hey guys, I doing labs that one could say have a 'teensie' bit of data collection but are mainly conclusion and evaluation focused. I know the format of a normal design lab, but I'm new to this how does it go? I already have a sheet that has the design, procedure etc and I just have to take a few reading and answer a question. So right now I'm typing all of that out as one. Reply
dessskris
divide your CE section into 3 parts:Conclusion:State your experimental value and literature valueCompare your percentage error with your uncertainty. If %error>unc, you have more systematic errors and evaluation&improvements should concentrate on the accuracy. If %error<unc, you have more random errors and evaluation&improvements should concentrate on the precision.Define systematic error & random error.Comment on the trend of your data graph (where necessary).Evaluation:Why you used certain apparatus instead of others (where necessary). Why you did certain things in the experiment (where necessary). (e.g. in a specific heat capacity experiment you covered the beaker to reduce heat loss to surroundings)State all the assumptionsState sources of errorsPossible Improvements:How to reduce/eliminate the errors you mentioned in the evaluation Reply
