Hanna_12
Who has read this book? I had to read it for a summer reading assignment and it was not only a difficult read but also quite boring. Can anyone help me understand? or outline some significant points of the novel? Sandwich
I doubt many people will have read this book and/or have the time/energy to sit and type up some kind of a summary for you I'm afraid. Realistically speaking Your best bet is probably to try and buy a study guide of some description. A quick google led me to this http://www.bookrags.com/content/studyguides/?p=guides&u=kon-tiki preview it and see what you think, then it looks like quite a cheap buy. If not, keep looking round google and I'm sure you'll find some kind of useful resource. The book is too obscure to be on Sparknotes. Of course if this isn't a book you're going to be studying for IB, you might want to just re-read it and hope nobody picks on you in the lesson because you'll never really need to know it again. If you ARE studying it for IB you may still just want to re-read it and hope nobody picks on you in the lesson. That's what I'd do! After all your teacher is probably going to spend the next month or so going through it exceedingly slowly and given that you can have too much of a good thing, you might want to limit the number of Kon-tiki repetitions to just the one you do in lessons. I always found myself going slightly crazy after spending my 4th or 5th week crawling through a novel I could've read ten times in the same time period! 1 Reply
