Guest kenshi64
Hey I guess we could all use some brushing up of concepts, and solve question pertaining to genetics here, and also discuss how you write you answers, my friend for example likes to write paper 2(HL) answers in bullets. Well just random genetics stuff anyway, like what you think appears in past papers often. Hey guys, I have a query and its eating away at me right now! My Pearson textbook says" The Chiasma is where the two connect to each other." referring to the chromatid and the tip But Many diagrams on the internet confuse me as the show the chiasma as the intertwined chromatids with exchanged tips. Like in this picture. It literally points to the junction rather than the place where the two are joined. So this(attached, basic MS Paint drawing) is the picture I have in head, am I grasping this right? Or is it that the biconcave depression along the sister chromatids or the x shape joining them is the Chiasma? Reply
