ChikkyD
As far as I know, error bars in HL Biology are the standard deviation. So, if you're using Microsoft Excel, and you've got all your data in there, formulate a graph, whichever you want. Then, make a column and type "=STDEV" and click it when it comes up highlighted, Then select the data you would like to find the standard deviation of (usually your averages), and click enter You now have your standard deviation. Highlight your graph and there should be an option somewhere (it depends what version of Microsoft Office [or whatever] you have) and click "format error bars". Highlight your standard deviation when prompted. Play around with that function for a bit til you get your standard deviation error on your graph in the appropriate places. Hope this helps a little 1 Reply
