nenicka20
What do you think i should put in the additional information on the application?Any tips of what colleges would like to see there?should i write an additional essay? or should i put my CV? also, i learned that in the US they like resume, not a CV..well then what's the difference and for what should i look out mostly? i dont want to make a mistake, and turn out not serious and sloppy What do the ibers think about this? IBStuck
i don't know what a CV is so i cannot comment on the, but when i was filing out my applications, anything i felt that should have been mentioned in the application that i couldn't i place in there. if a school didn't ask about ECs or communnity service activities i mention those in that area in the resume style. deissi
I think that a CV is a synonym for resume, though the American style probably is different. Reply
Ruan Chun Xian
CV=curriculum vitae...which is the same thing as a resume. I suppose this is for US universities? Most ask you to write an essay which have specific titles. So if you do want to write something, write a sort of personal statement (the kind you'd write for UK application but shorter). You don't really want to write a list sort of CV/resume where you list every school you've been at and so forth. If you do write about CAS, ECs, jobs etc, writing in continuous prose looks less sloppy. Reply
bescherelle
Well to make yourself good, put in something you really enjoyed/worked hard doing. Or even got a good grade, universities would probably want to see what your capable of. Reply
