Marina
Just a little background:In my IB music class there are 9 students including myself, and sadly the teacher that used to teach IB music at our school left and became a vice-principle, so we got someone new. What's even worse is that this new teacher has not really taught us anything this year. All she had us doing for both semesters is watching video lectures, reading the textbook, and working on our own. She has not really helped us in any aspect of the course, not even with the MLI.Knowing this, when I asked my friend who'd taken the course last year, he very quickly offered to help and even gave us some of his study notes. This was written for the IB music class at my school, but I figure that it could, for the most part, apply to the other IB music classes as well.Thank you to all the people that have helped our music class to understand what our teacher was not able to help us with what our teacher could't; we appreciate it more than you know! Without further ranting, the prayer for the IB music class:Prayer for the IB Music Class of 2011Abba Father,Pour out your blessings on the IB Music class of 2011.Give them the initiative to study hard.May they be able to cover the ground lost by the ineptness of their teacher.Provide for them all the necessary tools they need to succeed.Grant them the ability to recall all they have learned and will learn.Give them confidence and peace of mind going into their exam.Grant them rest so they will not be weary writing their exam.May what notes I provide them be of great benefit to them.May they know how to analyze a fugue.May they know their inversions.May they know their elements of music.May they know their concerto forms.May they know their composers.May they exceed their potential. In your Holy name,Amen. 1 Reply
