Dalton's Law

Suppose you have a gas X is made up of a mixture of gas: Oxygen, Nitrogen and CO2. I want to find the pressure X has.

In order to do that, I just have to find the partial pressures of Oxygen, Nitrogen and CO2, then add them up. That's Dalton's law.

Remember that he came up with this law for IDEAL gases, not real ones. There are many factors in real gases that he didn't consider, so this rarely applies to real gases.
