TNT Posted November 20, 2010 Report Share Posted November 20, 2010 I need to design an experiment to investigate the factors that affect cell permeability, but I am not allowed to use temperature and pH as factors so I'm really stuck. Drake Glau Posted November 20, 2010 Report Share Posted November 20, 2010 Cholesterol in the actual membrane (this relates to temperature however). At high temperatures the cholesterol keeps the membrane together instead of it falling apart into a pile of goo and at low temperatures they help to keep the membrane layer fluid like instead of freezing up.
