bubbleskins
So most of my teachers went kind of crazy with the predicted scores and ended up giving a lot of us some pretty crappy scores. Craziest of all, however, is our TOK teacher, who handed out Ds and Fs for the predicted of our bonus points like free candy. So my question is this: if somebody is predicted a 0 in terms of the bonus points, does that mean that the teacher predicted that they'll fail the EE and the TOK essay & presentation and thus fail IB and not get a diploma? Supib
As far as I know, you fail the diploma if you get an E in either EE or TOK. I have no idea why your teachers are doing that, but you should have a talk with them because I am pretty sure that anyone who can at least put some effort into it can get a D or a C in TOK/EE. Also if your predicted grades have 0 bonus points it just means you dont have bonus points, or your teachers dont think you'll get them, but otherwise as I stated before, getting an E in either TOK or EE is a fail. (correct me if I am wrong). But I honestly dont think anyone can get an E in TOK. I had a friend a couple years ago predicted a D, and his essay was utter crap so our teacher even laughed at it saying "my 4 year old daughter can do better", yet his essay managed to pull out a C. And trust me, his essay was utter crap, it is still quoted in our school each time someone wants to remind themselves how bad some essays can be. 1 Reply
