Thomas
So, here's my story. I started the IB in August, and as you can see in my signature, I do English B as a group 2 subject. I'm anticipating this in May 2008. And then, to my question - would I be able to do French B from May and then do the exam along with my other exams? I've learnt French for 4 years, but my level would be like 2-3 years of learning. Do you think I would manage? Reply
Guest Mr Canada
That depends. The French B exams are relying on your ability to understand French as a single language. Since you take English as a B language, the exams are quite similar. I would not recommend trying to do it in 1 year because it is quite hard for many students trying to do it during two. I've been studying French for 7 years (3 years in a French school rest in Sweden) and I take HL French B with some difficulty. It is manageable to take the course during one year but as I said, I wouldn't recommend it. Reply
cixelsyD
Yes -- Ask your IBC to sign you up for the exam =P I was in french immersion in elementary school and took french courses from grades 8-10, so my IBC let me take the exam in grade 11. Was 2 points away from a 7 Reply
