DeStijl
First of all, I love John Donne, and you've got a really fascinating topic (at least, in my opinion). So...kudos!However, you'll need to share some of your own thoughts before we can provide any assistance. We can't exactly do your work for you, if you know what I mean. m@tt
i was thinking about using "the sun rising", "valediction forbidding mourning", and "the flea" as the main focus and also use "The Extasie" and "The Good-Morrow" to further support my evidence. for The flea- I would focus on the use of sex referencing of john donne "A sin, nor same, nor loss of maidenhead;Yet this enjoys before it woo, And pamper'd swells with one blood made of you two." I personally think that these 3 lines indicates loss of virginity, premarital sex. and also "flea has joined them together" which implies sex or pregnancy. In the 2nd stanza of The Flea, it can be inferred that "when the flea sucked one's blood, they are conncected as of they are married" similarly, i think the narrator is trying to imply that he and his beloved is married just like the when the flea's blood are mingled together.
